We look for solutions that not only transform businesses, but also change the world. The Defense Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for Challenger 650 Pilot-In-Command (PIC). The PIC will support contracted CONUS/OCONUS flight operations and must meet our high standards of aviator skill, safety, professionalism, and customer focus. PICs are required to live and work in austere conditions. In this role, the PIC will support all flight operational duties in the Challenger 650 aircraft from flight planning, pre and post flight operations as requested by the Site Operations Manager (SOM) and the Leidos Program Chief Pilot. PIC's will operate aircraft in accordance with applicable regulations, and program/corporate policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of related experience. Additional years' experience may be used in lieu of a degree.
  • 1,000 hours PIC total time
  • 300 hours PIC in a Challenger 604/605/650 aircraft or similar type aircraft type.
  • Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate
  • Possess a valid FAA Commercial Airplane and Airplane Airman Certificate.
  • Multiengine Land and Instrument Airplane ratings (certificate).
  • US Citizen
  • Currently possess an active DoD Top Secret clearance with ability to upgrade to TS/SCI upon hire
  • Minimum age of 21
  • Possess a valid passport and state driver’s license
  • Ability to successfully meet all contractual / program training and DoD medical requirements for OCONUS travel and complete CONUS Replacement Courses (CRC) within 90 days of hire.
  • FCC Radio Telephone Operator License

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree with 6+ years of experience
  • Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance
  • Proline 21 experience
  • Airline Transport Pilot (ATP)
  • 1,500 hours PIC time in King Air 300/350 or similar multi-engine, turboprop aircraft
  • 1000 hours of Multiengine
  • 1000 hours Turbine time
  • 200 hours of Instrument (actual) time
  • 300 hours of Turbofan/Turbojet flight time
  • Prior experience as a U.S. Military, Customs, DEA Pilot or US Contracting ISR Pilot
  • Experience as a U.S. Military Standardization Instructor Pilot, Instructor Pilot, or Maintenance Pilot
  • Prior OCONUS rotation experience, particularly in current area of operation
