Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• FAA Commercial and Instrument Airman's Certificate Airplane MEL.
• FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
• Current FAA Class II Medical certificate.
• FAA CFI-CFII single Engine or FAA CFI-CFII-MEI multiengine or military equivalent rating.
• Successful completion of FAA Type Rating Course in the selected type required before assignment.
• Position requires a U.S. Security Clearance.
• 1,500 total fixed wing flight hours including 500 hours of turbine engine time, and 1000 hours pilot in command.
• 300 hours turbine engine instructor pilot or check pilot time.
• Unrestricted Type Rating.
• Host Nation equivalent Certifications in lieu of FAA Certifications, if applicable.
• Spanish Level L-2, R-2 required in LATAM Programs.
• Minimum 1 year experience managing a flight training program.

Nice To Haves

• Prior US Military Standardization Pilot.
• Prior Instructor or Standardization pilot support to the DoS program.
• Airline Transport Pilot ATP rating from the FAA.

Responsibilities

• Conduct crew member training and evaluations, standardization administration, i.e. flight records, AWIS, publications and references.
• Monitor flight instruction to include aircraft transition training, annual proficiency reviews, and flight evaluations.
• Participate in the selection and training process of new crew members into the Program.
• Conduct academic and hands-on performance training and administer evaluations to ensure crew member proficiency and standardization of training.
• Maintain individual IATFs and complete AWIS entries.
• Ensure all RCMs and NRCMs are fully integrated into the ATP, train and evaluate RCMs and NRCMs in their designated aircraft.
• Ensure compliance with all Standardization Directives, Air crew Training Manuals, and ATP requirements.
• Develop individual flight training plans in support of the organizations mission and ATP.
• Oversee maintenance of crew member flight records, weight and balance calculations, and risk assessments.
• Monitor crew member proficiency in phases of mission planning and flight operations to ensure compliance with policies and directives.
• Maintain knowledge of additions and changes to all applicable Standard Operating Procedures SOPs and documentation integral to contract operations.
• Train and qualify crew members to fly all approved missions.
• Perform assigned duties as Pilot, Pilot-in-Command, Standardization Pilot, Air Mission Commander, or Flight Lead.
• Perform other qualified duties as assigned.
