Pilates Reformer Instructor (81043)
About The Position
Asphalt Green Upper East Side is looking for a part time certified Pilates Reformer coach to join our small but mighty team. The ideal candidate is available to teach small group classes (up to 4 reformers at a time) and be available for private and duet clients. Hours are morning on weekdays (starting as early as 7am) and either Saturday or Sunday weekend morning availability. This role is ideal for a seasoned instructor who leads by example on the studio floor, is deeply committed to teaching all levels for all bodies and helping grow Asphalt Green's Pilates program long-term. Rates per class range by number of participants, and range from $40 – 88/hr, depending on class size.
Requirements
- Group Exercise or Personal Training certification is required
- Current CPR certification
Responsibilities
- 5+ years of Pilates group reformer teaching experience with a strong toolbox for scaling and advancing modifications within the same class.
- Instruct both private, duet sessions, and semi-private sessions (up to 4).
- Comprehensive Pilates certification and experience teaching group reformer.
- Can reliably teach at least 6 hours/week on a consistent schedule; availability for subbing is ideal.
- Natural leadership, strong communication skills, and a passion for their craft.
- A polished, professional presence and strong alignment with Asphalt Green's community-based culture.
- Complete all administrative requirements associated with client management.
- Provide excellent customer service to all Equinox members and guests.
- Strive to have consistent & frequent client activity to help them achieve results + goals.
- Maintain studio and equipment cleanliness.
