About The Position

Join Performance Optimal Health as a Pilates Reformer Instructor. Performance Optimal Health takes a holistic approach to health and recovery, empowering clients to live better lives through unique Optimal Health Assessments and tailored care plans based on the Four Pillars of Optimal Health: exercise, nutrition, recovery, and stress management. The company is celebrating its 20-year anniversary and is building its Pilates Team, seeking a part-time instructor with potential for full-time. The ideal candidate is passionate, client-service focused, positive, and hardworking, sharing a love for health and wellness. Instructors focus on the client experience, working alongside other healthcare professionals to empower clients. They emphasize quality and attentive first-class client care, assessing individuals and/or semi-private groups to adapt sessions to client needs. Instructors work with a broad spectrum of clients, from those improving fitness to those undergoing physical or occupational therapy. Therefore, knowledge of therapeutic Pilates and/or strong knowledge of/interest in anatomy and therapy is required. Pilates Reformer Instructors are part of a multi-disciplinary team and are expected to communicate with other team members to provide the best client experience.

Requirements

  • Must be certified by an accredited organization, to teach Pilates fitness sessions(mat certification/Anatomy certification)
  • Certified on all studio apparatus (Reformer, Cadillac/Tower, Chair, Barrel)
  • Minimum of two years Pilate's instructing is preferred.
  • some level of knowledge of therapeutic Pilates and/or a strong knowledge of/interest in anatomy and therapy
  • Must have a legal right to work in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Provide constant guidance during Pilates sessions, correcting technique, providing confident instruction for clients to learn and safely follow
  • Offer alternatives during sessions to accommodate different levels of fitness
  • Responsible to communicate with fellow providers to ensure full circle, team approach to wellness and client care
  • Refer to these team members when questions arise regarding clients
  • Communicate effectively with Wellness Lead
  • Ensure safe and proper use of Pilates equipment
  • Build positive and lasting relationships with clients
  • Prepare client notes in MindBody following their session
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Other duties as assigned
