To learn more about GSCY, visit our website: http://gscymca.org Position Summary: We are seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Pilates Reformer and Reformer Tower Instructor to lead safe, effective, and engaging classes for participants of varying fitness levels. The instructor will provide high-quality instruction rooted in proper technique, alignment, and mindful movement while creating a welcoming and inclusive environment.

Requirements

  • Current Pilates Reformer certification from a nationally recognized program (Tower certification preferred)
  • CPR/AED and First Aid certification
  • Previous teaching experience in Pilates Reformer and/or Tower classes preferred
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics, and Pilates principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead Pilates Reformer and Reformer Tower classes following established class formats and safety guidelines
  • Provide clear instruction, demonstrations, and hands-on or verbal cueing as appropriate
  • Modify exercises to accommodate different fitness levels, injuries, and physical limitations
  • Ensure proper equipment setup, use, and maintenance before and after each class
  • Monitor participants to ensure safe execution of exercises and prevent injury
  • Foster a positive, encouraging, and inclusive class atmosphere
  • Maintain current certifications and attend required trainings or staff meetings
  • Arrive prepared, on time, and ready to deliver a professional class experience
