HPC Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, is looking for a Pigging Equipment Class A CDL Operator to join their safety conscious team! The Pigging Equipment Class A CDL Operator is responsible for the safe and proper execution of HPC-Industrial jobs across our downstream line. Requirements

  • Specific vocational preparation including classroom safety training, on-the-job training and essential experience gained on other jobs.
  • Language proficiency: understand English at a level to comprehend safety training and respond to instructions in emergency situations.
  • Valid driver’s license, CDL Class A or B and other requirements of company’s driving policy required when driving company vehicle or using personal vehicle on company business.
  • Smartphone required for Electronic Logging Device.
  • Federal Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) may be required.
  • Must be knowledgeable in the operation of emergency equipment, such as fire extinguishers.
  • Experience operating a vacuum truck.
  • Working knowledge of operating equipment used in wet and dry vacuums.
  • CDL A License required
  • TWIC Card required
  • Operate a Manuel Transmission
  • Minimum 1 or more years, verifiable service within the industrial cleaning industry.
  • Strong knowledge in the operation of equipment used in service line.
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Current certification as an authorized Company driver.
  • Work Safely and adhere to all company and customer rules and regulations, including wearing all PPE

Nice To Haves

  • Pigging or refinery industry experience preferred but not required.
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience troubleshooting equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Must be competent in PSI, RPM, and Flow before operation of pumper units
  • Filling out, understanding and accepting permits
  • Gathering and completing required documentation such as: Timesheets from the crew, Service receipts, Notes for Supervisor of shift events (e.g. rig in start time, delays), Run Sheets, filled out properly, Properly completed safety paperwork, Post job paperwork as required
  • To work safely and adhere to all company and customer rules and regulations, including wearing all required PPE.
  • Help Complete Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and all applicable safety paperwork.
  • Help review all aspects of work from the job site to equipment before commencing work to ensure safety.
  • Ensure all equipment is functioning.
  • Help rig-in into fired heaters as needed.
  • Determine the route in which the hoses and hard pipe will be rigged in
  • Assist in removing hoses and hard pipe and stringing out in the pre-determined route utilizing whip checks
  • Work at Industrial Owner Facilities across North America
  • Be On Call 24/7 when requested.
  • Able to work shifts up to 12-16 hours (day or night)
  • Determine the route in which the hoses wand pipe will be rigged in
  • Knowledge of computer operating systems: How to start the program, How to calibrate the program
  • Troubleshooting the equipment: Identify problems with the pump (mechanical seals, bearings, etc.), Identify issues with the valve tree valves (twisted stems, leaking valves, etc.), Identify issues with the engine (engine shut down, engine won't start, etc.), Identify when there is an issue with a solenoid
  • Act as safety representative responsible for safety policies and procedures of both the company and the customer, including hands-on information regarding operations, safety, equipment, emergency response and administrative functions.
