About The Position

We're expanding our network and looking for dedicated CDL Class A Local Truck drivers and support staff to join our team. Pick-up and Delivery local truck drivers are a vital part of customer relations and are responsible for ensuring that our customers' freight is delivered on time and damage-free. City drivers will conduct multiple stops per day while interacting with customers. Drivers may be required to operate pallet jacks and lift gates to maneuver freight as needed. Requirements

CDL Class A license
Experience in commercial driving and tractor-trailer operation
Doubles, Tankers, and Hazmat Endorsements
Ability to operate lift gates
Familiarity with route driving and loading/unloading procedures

Responsibilities

Transport freight in safe and prompt manner
Interact with our clients and customers in a professional and courteous manner with limited supervision
Comply with Department of Transportation regulations and laws
Maintain responsibility for safety and security of company equipment and customer goods
Load and unload trailers and move freight across the terminal dock, either individually or with the assistance of a co-worker, with or without mechanical freight handling equipment, as required.
Record quantity and type of shipments using bills of lading, delivery receipts, and tally sheets.
Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations.
Hook and unhook trailers from tractors, including cranking levers to raise and lower landing gear.
Fuel trucks and tractors.
Perform all other work-related duties as assigned.
