About The Position

Pickleball Professional Instructor will focus on developing and enhancing our pickleball teaching and coaching program to improve participants’ pickleball skills and abilities. The position includes developing a schedule for instruction, instructing lessons, classes, and clinics. Provide leadership to the pickleball program and ensure a safe environment with pristine courts, facilities, and equipment maintained for the highest delivery of the program. Requirements

  • 18 years of age with high school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 5 years of advanced experience in specialized skill
  • Minimum of 4 years teaching specialized skill.
  • Training and qualifications in the specialized instruction area
  • Demonstrate advance knowledge of specialized skill
  • Ability to effectively use technology for programmatic needs
  • Obtain and maintain all new hires certifications and trainings within 90 days of hire
  • Familiar with the game of Pickleball including a mastery of the game and the ability to teach and share the sport with others
  • IPTPA Certified Teaching Professional or PRO Level PPR Certification

Responsibilities

  • Plans, organizes and leads specific activities, routines and/or games for all participants.
  • Leads with enthusiasm and positive motivation in program.
  • Organizes and maintains program records including, but not limited to attendance records, rosters, etc.
  • Manages all equipment.
  • Maintains a clean and risk-free environment.
  • Communicates effectively and timely with program participants and parents.
  • Ensures all children are picked up by a parent.
  • Promotes other YMCA programs by handing out brochures, answering questions, or referral to appropriate person.
  • Ensures compliance with all YGBW policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
