Responsible for the preparation of lessons plans, instructing, and evaluating class participants. Lead pickleball lessons for varying ages with a maximum number of 14 participants Arrive on time, prepare needed equipment and communicate weather related cancellations; squeegee courts as needed. Track attendance and communicate program updates to participants. Respond quickly to all emergencies and administer first aid as needed. This is a part-time, seasonal position for the months of April – November. Class schedule is set in advance with participant registration. Classes will run when the minimum number of participants are met. Course offerings include beginner lessons, youth lessons workshops, drilling classes, one-on-ones and more. Compensation is based on experience and certifications. Compensation Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Prior pickleball and teaching experience is necessary.
  • Must exhibit initiative in the absence of supervision.
  • Have a positive attitude and show professionalism in communications.
  • Experience working with all ages, confident managing multiple participants at a time, and the ability to create a fun environment.
  • Could be a year-round position.
  • Criminal History Background Check required.
  • JCPRD requires reference/background screening for all positions. Specified criteria may vary by Department.
