About The Position

THE HIRING COMPANY: The Kitchen Grill & Games at Discovery is a one-of-a-kind indoor/outdoor entertainment destination combining great food, drinks, and America’s fastest-growing sport—pickleball. Our venue features six indoor and four outdoor courts, along with a full lineup of indoor and outdoor games, ice skating, live music, and a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere! The Kitchen at Discovery is one of several exciting amenities built and planned for residents of Aria and the greater Columbia community, offering a place where fun, recreation, and connection come together! PICKLEBALL COURT & GAME ATTENDANT; Our Court & Game Attendants will assist with the day-to-day operations of our indoor/outdoor Pickleball, Game and Ice Rink zones. You will assist customers with scheduling court times, equipment rental or purchases and educate members on our facility operations. You will also assist with oversight of our outdoor game area, ensure the safety and security of our ice rink operations during the winter season and provide exceptional customer service to encourage repeat business!

Requirements

• Previous customer service or sales experience
• CPR and AED Certified within the first 30 days of hire
• Ability to provide exceptional customer service to guests
• Able to diffuse and problem solve member/guest issues
• Outgoing, extroverted personality!
• Positive attitude!
• Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours)
• Able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food and containers weighing up to 25 pounds

Responsibilities

• Greets, schedules court time and assists members in a friendly and professional manner.
• Explains all Pickleball programs, services, and equipment to members and assists them with determining their individual needs.
• Initiates, develops and maintains personalized relationships with members.
• Assists in ensuring all pickleball facilities, game areas and equipment are clean, organized and in good working condition.
• Provides exceptional service to customers within their designated area.
• Collects payment for services and products and reconciles the cash register at the end of a shift.
• Assists with ice rink safety & security during seasonal operation of the ice rink; must know how to ice skate efficiently.
• Operate and maintain the Zamboni for ice rink preparation and maintenance.
