About The Position

The Picking Representative position in Amherst, NY involves completing customer orders by accurately picking and checking materials. The role requires maintaining knowledge of work functionality and quality standards through training, adhering to safety protocols, and ensuring a clean work environment. Responsibilities include picking products from designated storage locations, checking order accuracy, stocking inventory, and working collaboratively with team members to meet departmental objectives. The position also involves packing and shipping orders, ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures, and using designated shipping systems.

Requirements

• Minimum High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• General knowledge and ability to work with computers required.
• Prior experience in a warehouse setting, with specific skills relating to picking, is helpful.
• Prior SAP experience and/or prior RF scanner experience is helpful.
• Ability and dexterity to work in a fast-paced standing/moving position for long periods of time required.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Must be able to wear ANSI or ASTM certified safety shoes for 8 hours per day.

Responsibilities

• Complete customer orders by picking and checking material in an accurate and efficient manner.
• Pick product from designated storage locations per the Transfer Order (T.O.) or other designated means.
• Check product and order information during every phase of picking to ensure order accuracy.
• Maintain knowledge of work functionality and quality standards by attending training classes/sessions.
• Maintain current Key Performance Indicator(s) (KPI) as directed by supervisor/delegate.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment adhering to Ivoclar's LEAN 5S program.
• Stock/replenish inventory and supplies to maintain correct and efficient levels.
• Work with other employees in a team approach to achieve departmental objectives.
• Comply with the use of personal protective equipment as required by law and company policy.
• Follow all Ivoclar Vivadent Fulfillments Module (MOD), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and work instructions.
• Assist in packing customer orders by placing products in appropriate boxes and securing parcels for transport.
• Utilize designated shipping systems to ship parcels and freight to customers.
• Check product and order information during every phase of packing/shipping to ensure order accuracy.
