About The Position
Position Description: This hourly associate provides production line support under the guidance of a Team Leader and Supervisor. This role will include gaining a working knowledge of all processes within the department. Accountabilities Coach team members using MPS tools such as SOS, TPM, and 5S. Collaborate with support teams (CI/Quality) to problem solve on a daily basis. Responsible for immediate line-side problem solving tied to safety, quality and efficiency. Complete repairs as they arise Fill in for team members as they briefly step away from their line position for restroom break, office visit, etc. Collaborate with Team Lead to conduct team member cross training and job rotation Conduct periodic supply checks. Retrieve parts for the department as needed. Assist Team Lead with answering and problem solving Andons as needed. Oversee and Assist with end of shift clean-up process. Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Demonstrated experience leading or being a part of a team required
- Basic math skills (Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division) required
- Experience with basic computer applications required (email, Word, etc.)
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business information, documents, and regulations in the English language.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from associates, customers, and management.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in situations where standardized methods and procedures exist but customer requirements and work situations may vary.
- Promote safety and Zero Incident Culture and ensure compliance with all EHS policies, procedures, and programs.
- Eliminate and/or control hazardous conditions which could lead to injury and/or property damage.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
