The position involves receiving coversheets and assigned carts for each series of orders, logging onto the voice system to begin the voice-directed picking process. The employee will move the cart through product bin aisles, picking corresponding products from product bins, and placing the correct product and quantity into the cart. Small items will be placed into bags or banded together for easier identification. The employee will verify products during the picking process and may also verify during the packing process. Daily individual production records may need to be maintained, which are reviewed by the supervisor. After completing the cart, the employee will return the cart to the staging area and may begin packing customer orders by verifying selected products and checking off packing lists. Proper packing procedures must be followed to ensure quality, including packing glass items in bubble wrap and ensuring liquids are packed upright. The employee will report any errors in product selection or quality and may correct orders as necessary before shipment. The role also includes disposing of empty boxes and packaging appropriately to maintain a clean working environment and participating in special projects as required. All positions are responsible for meeting company standards for quantity and quality of work, adhering to company policies, and completing job duties in compliance with workplace behavior standards.
