About The Position

The position involves receiving coversheets and assigned carts for each series of orders, logging onto the voice system to begin the voice-directed picking process. The employee will move the cart through product bin aisles, picking corresponding products from product bins, and placing the correct product and quantity into the cart. Small items will be placed into bags or banded together for easier identification. The employee will verify products during the picking process and may also verify during the packing process. Daily individual production records may need to be maintained, which are reviewed by the supervisor. After completing the cart, the employee will return the cart to the staging area and may begin packing customer orders by verifying selected products and checking off packing lists. The employee will select appropriately sized boxes or envelopes for shipment to avoid damage during delivery, ensuring all orders are packed neatly and correctly. This includes packing glass items in bubble wrap, placing small items in bags, and ensuring liquids are packed upright. Proper packing procedures must be followed, and any errors in product selection or quality must be reported or corrected before shipment. The employee will send packed orders along the conveyor system for sealing and shipment. Special orders will be processed using a specific process, and the employee will dispose of empty boxes and packaging appropriately to maintain a clean working environment. Participation in special projects and other duties as required is also expected. All positions are responsible for meeting company standards for quantity and quality of work, complying with company policies and procedures, and adhering to workplace behavior standards.
