Warehouse/Distribution: FT Picker/Packer/Associate/Fulfillment
About The Position
This full-time position is for a Picker/Packer/Associate/Fulfillment role within a warehouse/distribution environment. The primary responsibility is to efficiently and accurately pull items according to customer orders and management-prescribed picking quotas. This involves locating products on shelves, identifying the correct product and quantity, pulling them, and transporting them to the checking station. The role requires basic computer navigation, the use of voice picking and RF scanning equipment, and strict adherence to the Stockroom Housekeeping Policy for the facility and specific product line areas. Maintaining accuracy in repetitive routines while working at a good speed is essential. Additionally, the associate must follow all safety rules, including those pertaining to the handling of hazardous materials.
Requirements
- Must be functionally literate and capable of understanding and recognizing product numbers and line codes to insure proper retrieval of products for shipment, including identifying sequence of numbers and letters accurately and rapidly.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
- Ability to write legibly.
- Ability to successfully communicate with the voice picking system.
- Ability to adapt to understanding the voice system’s commands, as well as adapting your speech so that the voice system can understand your input.
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
- Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
- Operational Access to PkMS - Menu DCAMENU50.
- Operational Access to vPack Voice Picking System.
- Forklift Certification (for occasional use).
Responsibilities
- Pull all orders for the customer according to the prescribed picking quota as set by management.
- Go to the shelf where the product is located; identify the proper product and quantity, pull the product, and transport the product to the checking station.
- Perform basic navigation on the computer.
- Use voice picking and RF scanning equipment.
- Adhere to the Stockroom Housekeeping Policy of facility and specific product line area.
- Maintain accuracy in repetitive routine while maintaining good speed.
- Follow and adhere to all safety rules including the handling of hazardous materials.
