About The Position

We are hiring a Hybrid Picker & Driver for our Hewlett operation. This role is responsible for picking and packing online orders in-store and then delivering those same orders using the employee’s personal vehicle. The ideal candidate is efficient, dependable, and comfortable handling both in-store fulfillment and last-mile delivery.

Requirements

Must have access to a reliable vehicle suitable for grocery delivery (sedan/SUV/van)
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
Ability to use smartphone apps for picking/delivery, navigation, and communication
Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs repeatedly (cases of water, bulk items)
Strong time management and reliability (on-time pickups and route completion)
High attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment
Must remain reachable during shifts and keep required tracking/communication active
Weekend and peak-period availability as needed

Nice To Haves

Experience in grocery picking, e-commerce fulfillment, delivery driving, or gig platforms
Familiarity with cold-chain handling (insulated bags/coolers, separation by temperature)
Knowledge of Hewlett and surrounding delivery areas

Responsibilities

Pick online orders accurately using a mobile device/order list
Verify item quality (freshness, expiration dates, packaging condition)
Pack orders securely and logically (frozen/chilled/dry separated as required)
Stage completed orders on time and in the correct area for dispatch
Escalate substitutions/missing items per process and communicate clearly
Load orders safely and protect product integrity during transport
Deliver orders on time based on assigned route/sequence
Follow delivery procedures (proof of delivery, photos/signature where required)
Maintain professional customer service at drop-off
Communicate with dispatch in real time (ETAs, delays, issues) and remain reachable
