The position reports to the Operations Manager, Assistant Terminal Manager, and/or Terminal Manager. The role involves leading, guiding, and directing drivers and other employees, including setting targets, monitoring performance, and providing coaching, counseling, and development. The individual is accountable for managing an efficient, clean, and safe LTL operation, which includes dock planning and scheduling. Responsibilities also include enforcing compliance with company policies, safety rules, and government regulations, as well as participating in hiring and termination processes. The position requires administering assigned portions of the Terminal Business plan, meeting all assigned KPIs, and utilizing company P&D enhancement tools and processes daily. The role involves reviewing and revising driver schedules to increase efficiencies and lower costs, managing equipment assignments, and communicating with customers regarding scheduling issues. Continuous analysis of vehicle and driver assignments is required to implement scheduling consolidations for efficiency and cost reduction. The individual will also oversee paperwork associated with city operations, conduct safety interviews and training, and ensure timely communication with customers.
