About The Position

The Pick & Prep Clerk is responsible for preparing products and providing engaging product preparation services to enhance the guest experience at Lowes Foods. This part-time role focuses on delivering superior guest service, maintaining product quality, and adhering to operational standards.

Requirements

• Ability to actively engage guests and have fun with them.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to read and understand information and direction.
• Knowledge of Pick & Prep operations.
• Willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job, including knife skills.
• Effective communication, guest service, and selling skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to effectively communicate with and take direction from supervision.
• Ability to work well with computers and scales.

Responsibilities

• Actively engage guests through product preparation, active sampling, and suggestive selling.
• Demonstrate superior guest service at all times, including storytelling about specific products.
• Showcase knife showmanship skills to highlight services offered at Pick & Prep.
• Operate the Pick & Prep area according to strict merchandising and operational standards.
• Ensure product quality meets Lowes Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department according to company standards.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking, merchandising, and guest service as necessary.
• Perform PA announcements.
• Complete all other duties as assigned by management.
