About The Position

The position involves managing the shipping floor and ensuring that daily shipments are organized and processed efficiently. The role requires hands-on involvement in packaging materials, preparing orders for shipment, and maintaining accurate records of transactions and inventory locations. Additionally, the position includes operating metal cutting machinery and performing general housekeeping duties in the shipping area.

Responsibilities

• Organize shipping floor and stage daily shipments
• Package material for shipping
• Prepare orders to be shipped
• Weigh and measure material for accuracy
• Use forklift to move material as needed
• Return unprocessed material to inventory
• Maintain transactions and locations in the operating system
• Attach packing slips and certifications to shipments
• Set up and operate metal cutting machinery
• Run bandsaws for material processing
• Use lifting equipment for heavy materials
• Perform housekeeping duties, including sweeping and picking up in the shipping area
