About The Position

The position involves managing the shipping floor and ensuring that daily shipments are organized and processed efficiently. Responsibilities include packaging materials, preparing orders for shipment, and maintaining accurate records of transactions and inventory locations. The role requires the use of various equipment, including forklifts and metal cutting machinery, to facilitate the shipping process.

Responsibilities

• Organize shipping floor and stage daily shipments
• Package material
• Prepare order to be shipped
• Weigh and measure material
• Use forklift to move material
• Return unprocessed material to inventory
• Maintain transactions and locations in operating system
• Attach packing slip / certs
• Set up and operate metal cutting machinery
• Run bandsaws
• Use lifting equipment
• Perform housekeeping tasks, including sweeping and picking up in shipping area
