VIC the PICC ("VTP") is a specialized healthcare provider focused on vascular access consulting services to acute care hospitals, skilled nursing facilities and home healthcare. We provide vascular access device insertion services, post access support services including declotting, line removal, port access and venous access troubleshooting. VTP also provides continuing education, precepting and other educational support to clinical team members and customers. Job Description We’re hiring experienced PICC RNs as well as RNs with strong Ultrasound-Guided IV (USGIV) experience who are ready to grow. Those without PICC experience can train with us to become PICC certified — full-time commitment required. Eligible for $10,000 sign-on bonus for full-time employment, based on prior vascular access experience. As a Vascular Access Nurse Consultant, you will work collaboratively with our customer's clinical team to resolve venous access issues to facilitate the treatment objectives of the treating physician. You may work inside or outside the hospital setting depending on each individual referral, providing you with a unique career opportunity to observe different treatment protocols and patient challenges. As a VTP Vascular Access Nurse Consultant you will: Perform PICC line insertions, midline placements, and peripheral IV access using ultrasound guidance Utilize ECG technology for tip confirmation Provide vascular access device (VAD) management, including troubleshooting and maintenance Assist with central line care, declotting procedures, line removal, and port access Deliver vascular access education and clinical guidance to facility nursing staff Support facilities in optimizing vascular access protocols and patient outcomes

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with current license
  • American Heart BLS Certification
  • Experience in vascular access device management, including care, maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Experience placing ultrasound-guided IVs
  • Ability to work independently and fulfill scheduling requirements as indicated by job classification
  • Valid driver's license, active auto insurance, and reliable transportation for travel to patient sites
  • Must possess a smart phone
  • Must LOVE vascular access!

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in acute care
  • Experience with other vascular access device (VAD) placements using ultrasound

Responsibilities

  • Perform PICC line insertions, midline placements, and peripheral IV access using ultrasound guidance

  • Full-time scheduling requirements include three to four days per week, including weekends, and participation in the holiday rotation.
  • Part-time (Per Diem) scheduling requirements include a minimum of 4 scheduled shifts per month, including weekends, and participation in the holiday rotation.
