About The Position
Upland Music Academy is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Music Teacher for part-time work. As the newest music school in Upland, we are committed to fostering a supportive environment for our employees and ensuring a quick ramp-up of your teaching schedule. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about music education and is willing to grow with our company. We prioritize building your agenda efficiently, so you won't be commuting for short lessons. The ideal candidate will have the ability to teach various instruments, including guitar, piano, drums, and voice, primarily to beginner students. While advanced teaching skills are not required, proficiency in your specialized instrument is essential. We are looking for instructors who can commit to teaching private lessons on 1-3 days per week, with our business hours from Monday to Friday, 2 PM to 8 PM, and Saturday from 9 AM to 3:30 PM. Additionally, there may be opportunities to teach group classes on weekends as needed. Candidates should possess strong communication skills, be comfortable interacting with parents, and have a friendly demeanor. Excellent attendance and punctuality are crucial, as frequent absences due to gigs or tours will not be suitable for this role. We are looking for someone who views this position as a medium to long-term opportunity, rather than a short-term or temporary job. Legal status to work in the US is required, and the position is expected to start in late April.
