Irvine's fastest growing music school is hiring Part-time Piano Instructors with 10+ hours of existing students plus new students. We are seeking qualified, caring music instructors to meet the demands of our growing enrollment and join our staff of passionate, creative, and dedicated music teachers! The pay for this position is approximately $26 - $32 per hour to start, with pay raises based on student retention. Teaching hours are flexible, primarily scheduled from Monday to Friday between 2 PM and 9 PM, and on weekends from 9 AM to 5 PM. We can work with abridged availability based on the candidate's schedule, and there is potential for growth as more students can be added based on mutual availability throughout the year. Teachers are expected to teach both private and group lessons, interact and communicate with parents and students, assign homework to help students improve, prepare students for recitals and performances, create effective lesson plans, and attend student recitals and events as needed. Participation in pedagogical training sessions is also required, and teachers will develop students through the Irvine School Of Music pedagogical method. We are looking for energetic, experienced teachers who can inspire a love of music and connect with students of various ages, levels, and goals. A vibrant and compassionate personality is essential, along with a patient and caring demeanor to teach successfully. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Music or be currently enrolled in such a program. They must be willing and able to commute to Irvine, pass a Federal Background Check, and be fluent in English. Punctuality and dependability are crucial, as is enthusiasm for pedagogy and knowledge of reputable teaching method books. We require a minimum one-year commitment for applicants interested in non-substitute positions. Positive company morale is a top priority, and we are looking for team players only.
