About The Position

The Physiology Instructor position at the College of Medicine is a full-time, non-tenure track role focused on studying ion channels in arterial smooth muscle and endothelial cells. The instructor will utilize various advanced techniques and will be responsible for executing experiments, training fellows and students, and managing laboratory operations. This role requires conceptual initiation and oversight of research projects.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. or M.D. degree required.
  • Minimum of three years postdoctoral experience or equivalent required.
  • Strong background in vascular physiology, electrophysiology, and ion channel research is essential.
  • Experience with mouse breeding and genotyping, arterial myography, blood pressure telemetry, two-photon microscopy, western blotting, super-resolution microscopy, and immunofluorescence is essential.
