About The Position
Currently accepting applications for 9th grade Physics/Physical Science Teacher position for the 2024-2025 school year at Da Vinci Schools. We are looking for candidates with their Single Subject Physics credential + EL Authorization for this position. As a 9th Grade Physics teacher at Da Vinci you will have four main cohorts of students who you see for approximately 100 minutes every other day. The subject is taught through the lens of real-world projects, often in collaboration with industry and post-secondary partners. In addition to the four cohorts of conceptual physics classes, you will also be an advisor to a group of approximately 25-32 students, who you will see three times each week in a community based class. You will also teach a seminar for one hour twice each week. This seminar can be based completely on a passion of yours (and is an elective to students). We currently offer seminars such as yoga, archery, film and computer modeling, and the offerings change based on what teachers want to teach.
