About The Position

Become part of an inclusive organization with over 40,000 teammates, whose mission is to improve the health and well-being of the unique communities we serve. UNC-Rex Radiation Oncology is seeking a dedicated and collaborative medical physicist to join our dynamic clinical team. We are committed to advancing our mission of delivering safe, effective, and compassionate care to every patient we serve. This position will be based at one of our regional cancer centers, which is equipped with a state-of-the-art linear accelerator capable of supporting advanced special procedures such as SBRT. In this role, you will provide comprehensive medical physics support, including oversight of advanced treatments such as SBRT and IMRT/IGRT. Core responsibilities include pre-treatment and weekly chart checks, acceptance testing and commissioning, and routine quality assurance. While your primary responsibility will be to support the regional site, you will also work closely with colleagues across all UNC-Rex Cancer Centers. Beyond daily clinical practice, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of care by contributing to new and ongoing clinical projects, helping develop and refine policies and procedures, and advancing efforts to standardize workflows across our system.
