About The Position

The role of the Physician - Without Hospital Call is to provide direct patient care in accordance with training, experience and licensure. They will participate as a member of the medical team within the Center. The Physician - Without Hospital Call will function as an educational resource to patients, the Center, students and the Community.

Requirements

  • Current Oregon medical license and DEA registration.
  • Current staff privileges at Tuality Community Hospital and OHSU, depending upon scope of practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)/Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; willingness to become sufficiently competent in Spanish to provide medical care.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in direct patient care, which may include obstetrics, family planning, newborn care, pediatrics and general adult care.
  • Meet minimum patient care productivity requirements as may be set by the Center.
  • Provide continuous comprehensive and culturally sensitive health care of the highest quality.
  • Provide case management to Center patients.
  • Provide all necessary documentation in the medical record of care provided to patient.
  • May assist in organizing and participating in special clinics such as the migrant camp program.
  • May be required to provide services at sites other than your primary site.
  • Provide day-to-day oversight of support staff with respect to individual patient management.
  • Participate in case management review and discussion.
  • Assist in implementation of plans to meet the objectives of the annual 'Health Plan' and other goals established by the QA/QI committee.
  • Participate in chart audits to assess success of QA/QI program.
  • Participate in medical staff, OB, QA/QI meetings and other committees within the Center.
  • Provide supervision of students and residents in the health care professions.
  • Consult with and support nurse practitioners and physician assistants as needed or requested.
  • Become part of professional committees at the community or hospital level.
  • May be required to temporarily assume responsibilities of Medical Director in his/her absence.
  • Provide assistance to Chief Executive Officer as necessary to fulfill the work of the Center.
  • Handle protected health information (PHI) in a manner consistent with HIPAA.

Benefits

  • Starting Salary: $178,684.65/yr +DOE
  • Schedule: 4 days/8 hours (32 hours a week)
  • 10% Yamhill Country Differential
