The Physician operates in a team with other clinic healthcare providers and support staff. The Physician provides patient medical care to all age groups in an office-based, multi-specialty group practice. In addition, the Physician provides diagnostic and therapeutic medical services, while making reasonable and sound medical assessments and treatment plans. The duties include, but are not limited to: Disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery Treatment of acute illnesses Treatment of acute injuries Prescribes and administers medications, performs routine vaccinations, and provides advice regarding personal health and hygiene Requests necessary tests and follow-up visits and refers patients to specialists, as necessary Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals Performs a variety of tasks A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected Provides direction to both clinical and reception support staff Proper and complete medical documentation (without copy/paste) for all patient care in order to assure accuracy (above 80% with goal of 95%) of E/M coding – and closing/sign off after review of all patient charts in accordance with company policies.
