About The Position

Skin and Aesthetics Center is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Mohs Surgeon to join our growing network of partner practices serving the Orland Park and Evergreen Park areas. As part of our comprehensive healthcare management services organization, this role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality Mohs micrographic surgery in a well-supported, patient-centered dermatology environment. The ideal candidate is fellowship-trained in Mohs surgery and committed to clinical excellence, efficiency, and collaboration. You will work alongside experienced dermatologists, advanced practice providers, and clinical staff while maintaining autonomy in surgical care and decision-making.

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited dermatology residency
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Mohs Micrographic Surgery fellowship
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Dermatology
  • Active Illinois medical license or ability to obtain
  • Eligibility for hospital privileges if required
  • Advanced expertise in Mohs micrographic surgery
  • Strong reconstructive and surgical technique
  • Excellent clinical judgment and attention to detail
  • Effective patient communication and bedside manner
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume surgical setting
  • Proficiency with electronic health records and clinical documentation
  • Collaborative approach with the ability to practice autonomously
  • Reliable transportation required for travel between designated practice locations

Nice To Haves

  • Fellowship training in Mohs Micrographic Surgery
  • Experience with complex closures and reconstructions
  • Comfort with high-volume surgical schedules
  • Experience collaborating with or supervising Advanced Practice Providers
  • Interest in cosmetic dermatology or surgical aesthetics
  • Bilingual capabilities preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform Mohs micrographic surgery for the treatment of skin cancer
  • Execute complex surgical reconstructions and closures
  • Evaluate and manage patients with high-risk or complex cutaneous malignancies
  • Collaborate with dermatologists, PAs, NPs, and clinical support staff
  • Maintain high standards of patient safety, outcomes, and satisfaction
  • Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation in the EHR system
  • Participate in clinical quality initiatives and best practice standards
  • Travel between assigned practice locations as needed
