Sun River Health is looking to hire an accomplished and dedicated Physician for our Genesis department to join our team in Suffolk County and help expand access to care for those who need it most. The Physician is responsible for managing a diverse patient panel with multiple co-morbidities in a busy Federally Qualified Health Center. Care is delivered in collaboration with advance practice providers, on-site support staff, with an emphasis on preventative health and quality patient care.. Sun River Health is a network of over 40 Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) providing primary, dental, pediatric, OB-GYN, and behavioral health care to over 245,000 patients annually. About Sun River Health Sun River Health has a rich history of providing quality, affordable health care to communities in need. Founded in the early 1970s by four African American women in Peekskill, New York, the organization was established to address the lack of accessible health services in their community. With the help of a small federal grant, the first Sun River Health site opened its doors in 1975. Over the years, Sun River Health has grown into a comprehensive Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) system with over 45 locations, serving more than 250,000 patients across the Hudson Valley, New York City and Long Island. Our exceptional primary care practitioners, specialists and support staff are dedicated to delivering high-quality care to all individuals, regardless of their ability to pay. In December 2018, Sun River Health expanded its reach by merging with Brightpoint Health, an FQHC network offering integrated medical, behavioral and social support services in New York City. Requirements

Doctorate Degree (MD, DO)
Active/Valid license as a MD or DO in New York State, DEA, Board certification
Experience in HIV care and MAT (Medication Assisted Treatment) (required)
Demonstrated ability to work with diverse patient population in community health setting.

Responsibilities

Participate in in planning and developing health care services, treatment of conditions and illnesses within scope.
Diagnose and provide treatment plans for patients.
Collaborate and supervise advanced provider clinicians.
Complete and participate in chart review process.
Referral and follow-up of patients when needed.
Collaborate with other members of the Health Center in order to maintain high quality standards and achieve client satisfaction.
Clinical Supervision: Overseeing the clinical work of students or new providers, ensuring they adhere to best practices and organizational standards.
Mentorship and Guidance: Providing mentorship and guidance to students or new providers, helping them develop their clinical skills and professional behavior.
Educational Support: Facilitating educational sessions, workshops or seminars to enhance the learning experience of the mentees.
Performance Evaluation: Assessing the performance of students or new providers, providing constructive feedback and documenting their progress.
Patient Care: Ensuring high-quality patient care is maintained while supervising and mentoring students or new providers.
Collaboration: Working closely with academic institutions and other healthcare professionals to coordinate the educational activities and ensure a comprehensive learning experience.
