Requirements

MD or DO required
Experience with electronic medical records required
Individual Professional Liability insurance required
PT contract position – Up to 25 hours per week
Valid, unrestricted Federal Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) number
Valid Pennsylvania PROMISE number
Minimum of three to five years’ experience; Work experience in a substance use disorder treatment setting preferred

Nice To Haves

Board certification in Addiction Medicine preferred

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history, physical examination, and diagnostic tests
Assess and manage patients’ primary and acute care needs and make referrals to specialized care as needed
Promotes the utilization of all types of medication assisted treatment (MAT), Medications for Opioid Use Disorder (MAOD)/Medications for Alcohol Use Disorders (MAUD)
Work a minimum of 3 days a week; in-person availability required
Participate in weekly treatment team meetings
Order and monitor medication and medical care for clients as needed and provide written authorization
