About The Position

Overview: Nationwide Children's Hospital is actively seeking board eligible/certified Pediatricians for the Children’s Community Practices (CCP). The CCP began in 2014 and includes a growing network of pediatric practices that are fully operated by Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Pediatricians working within the practices will be employed by Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Our group of practices are centrally located in Columbus suburbs and extend regionally throughout Ohio. Our sites are well-established practices that have been serving their communities for many decades. Providers see an average of 18 patients per day and call from home is rotated between providers with the utilization of the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Nurse Triage as first call. Job Description Summary: Provides medical care and treatment to patients. Job Description: Essential Functions: Conducts patient assessments and diagnoses medical conditions. Develops and implements treatment plans for patients in accordance with established protocols. Monitors patient progress and adjusts treatment plans as necessary. Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment. Communicates with patients and their families to provide education and support. Maintains accurate and up-to-date medical records for each patient and coordinates care with other healthcare professionals. Participates in the training and education of medical students, residents, and fellows as required. Stays up-to-date with medical advancements and research to provide the best possible care. Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine equivalent, required.
  • Graduate of an approved Fellowship program if applicable, required.
  • Medical License in the State of Ohio, required.
  • Unrestricted licensed physician, required.
  • Board Certification or eligibility in Pediatrics, required.
  • Prior clinical practice experience may be required based on the needs of the division.
