About The Position

Are you passionate about helping those who struggle to access care or feel unwelcome in other healthcare spaces? Western North Carolina Community Health Services (WNCCHS) is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) serving underserved communities in Western North Carolina. WNCCHS is seeking a mission-minded family medicine physician to provide full-scope patient-centered, integrated team-based, and trauma-informed care for vulnerable populations across the lifespan. Family Medicine Physicians collaborate with behavioral health, pharmacy, dental, and care management teams to provide whole-person, integrated care to individuals and families, regardless of insurance status or ability to pay.

Requirements

MD/DO from accredited school of medicine and completion of accredited residency program required
Current, unrestricted North Carolina MD or DO licensure, DEA and BLS required
Must be Medicaid and Medicare eligible

Nice To Haves

Board Certification is preferred
Experience in community health or outpatient care preferred
Bilingual in English and Spanish and/or Russian is a plus
HIV care experience a plus
