About The Position

Essentia Health is seeking a qualified candidate for an Urgent Care position in Virginia, MN. The ideal candidate will be a flexible team player, committed to achieving a work-life balance. The role involves providing urgent care services to both adults and pediatrics, with a focus on acute care walk-ins, respiratory illnesses, minor injuries, and musculoskeletal injuries. The position offers a flexible schedule with shifts set 3-6 months in advance, and no call obligations. The clinic operates weekdays from 9am-7pm and weekends from 9am-4pm.

Requirements

• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Family Practice or Emergency Medicine.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to multitask and strong critical thinking skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and comfort with suturing and splinting.

Nice To Haves

• Leadership skills or interest in leadership roles.
• Experience in urgent care settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide urgent care services to patients of all ages.
• Manage acute care walk-in cases including respiratory illnesses and minor injuries.
• Perform procedures such as laceration repair, incision and drainage, and foreign body removal.
• Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals including MDs, Credentialed Practitioners, and RNs.
• Maintain a focus on team-based care and work with Credentialed Practitioners.
