About The Position

The primary role is to ensure the detailed coordination and scheduling of the orthopedic physician/surgeon and advance practice provider activities within the Orthopedic clinic, operating room, hospital and any assigned outreach activities. This position works closely with the physicians/surgeons, advanced practice provider and department leadership to ensure complete, methodical, and full schedules. Likewise, they collaborate with other departments to ensure timely patient scheduling and rescheduling as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 1 year of clinic/administrative experience required
  • 1 year of EPIC clinic and procedure scheduling required
  • Pleasant telephone personality
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Ability to understand patient medical records and provider orders
  • Effective communication skills with patients, clinic staff, and hospital staff

Nice To Haves

  • Computer experience preferred
