About The Position

We are seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Thoracic Surgeon to join our esteemed medical team in Southwest Michigan. This position offers the opportunity to work within a physician-led medical group that emphasizes high-quality patient care, teamwork, and collaboration in thoracic and open heart programs. The ideal candidate will have experience in treating various lung conditions and will be responsible for comprehensive surgical interventions for thoracic diseases.

Requirements

• Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Thoracic Surgery.
• Experience in treating a variety of lung conditions requiring surgical intervention.
• Proficiency in minimally invasive surgical techniques and comprehensive thoracic surgical procedures.
• Experience operating on patients with esophageal disease is a plus.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in clinical research and teaching.
• Familiarity with academic affiliations, particularly with Western Michigan University School of Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Perform surgical interventions for lung conditions including esophageal cancer, lung cancer, and mediastinal tumors.
• Manage comprehensive surgical responsibilities for all thoracic diseases.
• Conduct minimally invasive lung resections and endoscopic/open airway interventions.
• Perform chest wall reconstruction and address diaphragmatic and pleural diseases.
• Collaborate with a team of vascular surgeons and advanced practitioners to ensure superior patient outcomes.
