About The Position

Ascension Saint Thomas Heart is adding a structural & advanced imaging cardiologist to our growing practice. This position is located at Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital, a regional referral center featuring a modern facility built in 2010 and a newly-renovated 16 operating room suite. The hospital is centrally located in the fastest growing county in the state of Tennessee on a beautiful 68-acre campus on the bustling 'Medical Center Parkway' corridor with convenient access to dining and shopping areas. The hospital campus is currently undergoing a $110 million expansion project, which includes the addition of 36 new high acuity beds, a parking garage dedicated to hospital employees and physicians, 18 new critical care unit beds, six additional NICU bassinets, and 17 new post-surgery bays. The hospital is well known in the community for its women’s services and well-established heart surgery program. Saint Thomas Health and the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) have an established partnership in Middle Tennessee for training medical residents in a variety of specialties including internal medicine, family medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, and general surgery.

Requirements

• BC/BE in Cardiovascular Medicine.
• Ideal candidates will also be BC in at least one imaging subspecialty.
• Fellowship-trained in Cardiac Imaging.
• Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Medical Examiners obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. KY License also required if working in a Kentucky facility.
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
