About The Position

Ochsner Health is seeking a Section Head of Pediatric Urology and junior faculty to join the Ochsner Department of Urology and the Ochsner Children’s Hospital in New Orleans. This position is part of a high-functioning, rapidly growing tertiary/quaternary Pediatrics Program and Children’s Hospital, which is ranked #1 in Louisiana by U.S. News & World Report. The new members will join three other pediatric urologists in a large Urology department with 31 employed Urologists and 12 APPs. The comprehensive Pediatrics Program includes over 230 physicians and offers a full range of pediatric services, including congenital heart surgery, liver and bone marrow transplantation, and a multidisciplinary developmental center. The department is expanding with the construction of a new dedicated Children’s Hospital expected to open in 2027.

Requirements

• Board certification in Urology.
• Completion of a fellowship in Pediatric Urology.
• Strong clinical skills and a commitment to patient care.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a leadership role within a pediatric urology department.
• Research experience in pediatric urology or related fields.
• Interest in teaching and mentoring medical students and residents.

Responsibilities

• Provide pediatric urology care to patients in a high-functioning, integrated healthcare environment.
• Participate in teaching residents in the Ochsner Urology residency program and medical students from the University of Queensland.
• Engage in collaborative care with a multidisciplinary team of pediatric specialists.
• Contribute to the growth and development of the pediatric urology program.
