Ochsner Health is seeking a BC Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiologist to serve as Section Head of the Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Service Line in New Orleans, Louisiana. The candidate would join and lead a multidisciplinary team and demonstrate expertise in all aspects of Advanced Heart Failure, including inpatient, outpatient, and outreach services. The Ochsner Advanced Heart Failure team currently performs approximately 35 LVAD implantations and 25-30 heart transplants per year. Additionally, we have a well-formed amyloidosis clinic, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy clinic, and a robust Pulmonary Hypertension Clinic. The Ochsner Multi-Organ Transplant Institute is a regional leader with heart, lung, liver, kidney, pancreas, and dual organ transplantation. The Department of Cardiology at OMC includes 45 cardiologists working at the academic medical center in New Orleans as part of our nationally recognized cardiology group of 80 cardiologists practicing at nine locations across southeast Louisiana and southwest Mississippi.
