About The Position

Family Health Centers of San Diego is hiring for a Rheumatologist to join our team. This position can be part time or full time. - 100% outpatient practice - No nights or weekends required - Clinic location: Central San Diego. Under the direction of the Chief Medical Officer, the Rheumatologist offers and provides specialty medical services to patients. Requirements

  • Board certified in Rheumatology.
  • DEA license.
  • Graduate from an accredited school of medicine.
  • Must possess current unrestricted license to practice in the State of California if applicable.
  • 1 year experience working in Rheumatology required.
  • Ability to work effectively with patients from diverse social, cultural and economic groups.
  • Basic computer literacy ability to comply with department needs and expectations.
  • Cultural and linguistic sensitivity to populations served required.
  • Knowledge of and ability to take a detailed medical history.
  • Must possess a demonstrated commitment to community medicine.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with underserved, low-income persons, or homeless persons preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) capabilities strongly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Completes all required documentation accurately, timely and thoroughly in accordance with department standards and to comply with electronic medical record requirements.
  • Follows FHCSD policies and procedures, including cooperating with the timely submission of credentialing and licensing paperwork.
  • Maintains a productivity expectation and minimum productivity as established by medical leadership.
  • Participates in Clinical Outcomes Program and work towards meeting organizational targets for all metrics.
  • Participates in administrative duties, including lab reports, charts, and medication refills reviewed and managed appropriately.
  • Participates in on-call schedule in a responsive and timely manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
