As we grow, our employees grow with us. Summary of Position We are seeking a Rheumatology trained physician to join us in pursuit of high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate 1-3 years clinical experience in an outpatient setting Patient-centered approach toward a positive patient experience Excellent communication skills Interest in Population Health

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) or foreign equivalent
  • Completion of three year post graduate medical training from a U.S. accredited residency program in Internal Medicine.
  • Completion of a Rheumatology Fellowship
  • Board Eligible/Board Certified in Rheumatology
  • Candidate must possess a New York State License
  • Be eligible for DEA registration
  • Be eligible for Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement
  • BLS or ACLS certification
  • Must possess strong communication skills both oral and written.
  • Comfortable with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Review patient's history and perform physical examination.
  • Evaluate, diagnose and provide appropriate treatment and patient care.
  • Recommend and order lab tests including X-rays of the joints to determine extent of illness or help diagnose condition.
  • Diagnose disorders and diseases of the musculoskeletal system and immune system.
  • Diagnose and treat rheumatic disorders of the skeletal system, muscles and joints.
  • Treat patients with rheumatic diseases including, but not limited to lupus, tendonitis, arthritis, myositis, scleroderma, and osteoporosis.
  • Prescribe anti-inflammatory drugs and other medications.
  • Formulate ongoing treatment and disease management plans.
  • Refer to occupational or physical therapy as required.
  • Participate in medical staff educational programs and meetings.
