As a vital first point of contact for Hines & Associates, the Physician Review (PA/PR) Admin Assistant supports the Physician Review Department, by assisting with the processing of cases through the department including coordination of the transmission of clinical information & cases to physicians, preparing physician reports in the system, coordinating QA of cases, and distribution of approved reports/invoices internally and to customers.

Responsibilities

  • Communicates with physician reviewers, case managers, utilization review nurses, providers and customers.
  • Documents PA/PR process in HMMS - maintaining required logs, tracks timeliness of responses, prepares & submits cases to reviewers, remind reviewers as needed of case due dates, assist with questions on reports to reviewers, enter reports into the system accurately for RN QA, prepares biographies, creation of invoices for physician reimbursement and customers for reports, distribution of reports and invoices.
  • Participates in gathering information for verification of credentials and licenses of MD reviewers.
  • Print, mail, fax and copy correspondence, as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or equivalent.
  • Courses in computers, medical terminology, data entry, word processing, and secretarial training desired.
  • At least one year of professional office experience; experience with medical terminology required.
