About The Position
The physician is responsible for the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of the health problems presented by the patients. This role involves developing and cultivating positive and productive working relationships with other Corewell Health personnel, promoting a culture of safety, teamwork, compassion, collaboration, clarity, curiosity, and courage. The physician will demonstrate a commitment to service and distinctive, personalized care with both internal and external customers, striving to exceed customer expectations. Responsibilities include assessing and monitoring the medical needs of patients, providing quality medical services in a cost-effective manner, and ensuring coverage of the case load at all times. The physician will communicate regularly with patients' families, referring physicians, specialists, nursing staff, and other hospital departments regarding the plan of care and treatment of patients. Participation in on-call and weekend coverage, quality improvement activities, and mentorship of fellows, residents, and students is also required.
