As a Physician Recruiter at Prisma Health, you will play a crucial role in identifying and attracting qualified candidates to meet the staffing needs of various departments within the organization. Your primary responsibility will be to assess applicants' qualifications based on the specific needs of the departments, working closely with designated UMG Department staff to determine initial suitability for interviews. You will coordinate travel, lodging, and community tours for applicants, ensuring a smooth and professional experience throughout the recruitment process. Additionally, you will facilitate the candidate interview schedule with the department and follow up with both candidates and department staff to determine suitability and bring closure to the recruitment process, whether that results in a hire, additional interviews, or a no-hire decision. In this role, you will consult with UMG Department Chairs, Administrators, and Directors to discuss recruitment needs, approved positions, and strategies for attracting top talent. You will establish recruiting requirements by studying organizational plans and objectives, analyzing job descriptions, and maintaining current knowledge of open requisitions and vacancy lists. Your ability to develop and utilize effective physician sourcing tools will be essential, as you will employ various methods such as journal or internet advertising, direct telephone contact from purchased lists of potential candidates, and leveraging Prisma Health's social media platforms for recruitment efforts. You will also be responsible for maintaining the applicant tracking system, ensuring it runs smoothly and effectively tracks candidates from initial identification through the offer preparation stage. This includes troubleshooting any issues with technical support and the IS department. Additionally, you will track and monitor all recruitment-related expenses according to the Physician Services budget guidelines and report these expenses to the Senior Physician Recruitment team. To stay current in your field, you will engage in professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and literature, keeping abreast of the latest trends in physician recruitment.
