About The Position

Performs duties related to physician recruitment for either general physician recruitment or designated physician specialties for a specific hospital or market. Interacts with practicing physicians, residents and fellows in coordination with the division recruitment team for the local facility or market medical staff. Assists and coordinates the development of strategic and comprehensive physician recruitment and retention plans in accordance with the needs and goals of the facility/market/company. This position will be located at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, GA

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent; 3+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be familiar with a variety of the fields concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, clinical experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as primary liaison for recruitment department with HCA GME residents/fellows in facility and/or market
  • Acts as an extension of the recruiter, to support day to day operations of physician and provider recruitment department
  • Conducts interviews with embedded Residents/Fellows to understand career path expectations and facilitates the introduction of HCA opportunities.
  • Assists in the coordination of GME Business Side of Medicine seminars
  • Participates in GME orientation programs, didactic pop-up events, Resident Day activities. Coordinates with GME Leaders to seek face time opportunities with all Residents/Fellows throughout the training year to increase visibility to services provided by Physician Recruitment.
  • Work on behalf of CEO and hospital administration team to maintain relationships with affiliated physicians throughout medical staff to maintain communication on recruitment matters and practice situations that may affect the hospital
  • Maintain relationships with key hospital personnel such as department directors and medical leaders so that they can assist in the recruitment process especially when recruitment candidates come on site
  • Maintains open and responsive communication between recruitment department, hospital administration team, appropriate practice personnel and candidates and appropriately logs activities in Salesforce/Optimum.
  • Represents the company at association meeting and physician training programs
  • Conducts activities with systems and database to maintain accurate and comprehensive files such as candidate records, internal and external reports and correspondence to supplement recruiter's efforts
  • Identifies and evaluates trends on healthcare recruitment, including location conditions, economic conditions and competitive institutions to develop innovative strategic plans to respond to these trends.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key vendors (hotels, restaurants, realtors) and community leaders in the area to help hospital sell the community to candidates
  • May supplement recruiter's duties by helping facilitate physician's facility/community site visits to include tours of the community(s) and housing options, meetings with facility administration, key medical staff members and tours of the facility(s).
  • Practice and adhere to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement”.
