About The Position

The Medical Director Services shall include, but not be limited to, the following: Personally attend and participate in weekly chart rounds and tumor boards. This can be achieved remotely through an NM approved teleconference platform. Promote a coordinated, multi-disciplinary approach to patient care by ensuring radiation oncology representation at multi-disciplinary conferences, as appropriate. Establish and maintain a radiation oncology quality assurance and peer review program that is documented and results of activities with appropriate industry benchmarks shared with the Department Chair and/or appropriate Vice Presidents of NMHC and/or appropriate Medical Staff Committee on a monthly basis. Serve as technology consultant for all existing and proposed new technology and equipment. Participate, as requested, in NMHC's hiring, recruiting, training and assessing of clinical staff. Provide oversight and supervision on a daily basis of the Radiation Oncology clinical operations at the NM Huntley Cancer Center and other locations as directed by the Department Chair. Provide support to and participate in the radiation safety committee. Participate in the development of patient care protocols and policies and procedures; and Assume other responsibilities and projects as reasonably requested by NMHC. We expect that you will spend on average 4 hours per week executing the role of Medical Director.

Requirements

  • Board Eligible/Board Certified in Radiation Oncology.
