Corewell Health Southwestern Medical Clinic, Stevensville is seeking a compassionate full-time physician to join our dedicated team of providers. This is an employed position. Call is 1:7, weekend only. Epic electronic health records. Candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine. Compensation package includes a two-year salary guarantee with the opportunity to bonus based on productivity and a starting bonus! Appointments of 15 or 30 minutes include; acutes, follow ups, physical exams, new patients, pediatric care, paps and pelvics, and typical primary care procedures; I & D, joint injections. The team includes 5 physicians and 2 full-time APPs. Office hours are Monday – Friday, 8am to 5pm. No weekends. Fluency dictation available. We are also excited to offer Abridge , a generative AI platform for clinical conversations , which allows you to focus on your patients and improve efficiency. Corewell Health utilizes EPIC as our EHR.
Requirements
- Doctorate
- LIC-Physician (MD) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required Or LIC-Osteopathic Physician (DO) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
- LIC_Controlled Substance (CS) - STATE_MI State of MI Upon Hire Required
- CRT-DEA Registration - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine
Responsibilities
- Assesses and monitors the medical needs of patients/significant others.
- Provides quality medical services to patients in a cost effective, appropriate manner and ensures coverage of case load at all times.
- Provides input into the development of policies and procedures as they related to medical practice and quality patient care.
- Provides oversight of Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners and others providing delegated services to patients.
- Evaluates patients'/significant others'/staff educational needs and develops and implements appropriate teaching strategies or delegates to appropriate resources.
- Documents in a manner consistent with regulatory standards.
- Communicates with other members of the health care team in order to ensure continuity of care and coordination of services.
- Acts as a patient/family advocate.
- Participates in ongoing process improvement activities through the development/application of clinical paths, process improvement and other related activities.
- Actively works with Corewell Health to meet financial and patient satisfaction goals.
