About The Position

About the Role: This role provides services to Sanguine on an as-needed basis to support specialty sample collection procedures at Sanguine’s Los Angeles collection facility. This role is responsible for performing protocol-specific procedures, including but not limited to skin punch biopsies, synovial fluid aspiration, and lumbar punctures for cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) collection, in accordance with study protocols and applicable regulations. This is a per diem role. Scheduled hours will vary based on study and operational needs, and no minimum number of shifts or hours is guaranteed.

Requirements

  • Active, unrestricted California Medical License.
  • U.S. Board Certification in a relevant specialty (e.g., Internal Medicine, Neurology, Rheumatology, or other procedural specialty) preferred.
  • Demonstrated competency and experience performing lumbar punctures and other procedural collections independently.
  • Prior experience in clinical research or working under research protocols preferred.
  • Current DEA registration.
  • Current BLS certification, ACLS preferred.
  • Ability to work onsite on a flexible, as-needed schedule.

  • Prior experience in clinical research or working under research protocols
  • ACLS

Responsibilities

  • Perform specialty collection procedures including, but not limited to: Skin punch biopsies
  • Synovial fluid aspirations
  • Lumbar punctures for CSF collection
  • Other protocol-specific minimally invasive procedures as required
  • Review study protocols and ensure all procedures are conducted in strict accordance with protocol requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Review relevant subject medical history, inclusion/exclusion criteria, informed consent documentation, and laboratory data prior to performing procedures, as applicable.
  • Ensure proper documentation of all procedures in source documents and electronic systems as required.
  • Monitor subjects for adverse events during and immediately following procedures and initiate appropriate medical management if needed.
  • Report adverse events, protocol deviations, and safety concerns in accordance with study and Sanguine requirements.
  • Maintain all required medical licenses, certifications, and credentialing to perform the procedures associated with this role.
  • Collaborate with the Principal Investigator, Nursing Staff, and Site Operations to ensure safe and efficient study conduct.
  • Participate in study-specific training and investigator meetings, as required.
  • Adhere to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies and SOPs.
