About The Position

The Department of Pediatrics and the Section of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at Rush University Medical Center invites applications for the position of Pediatric Gastroenterologist. The Section provides clinical services in the Rush University Medical Center in Chicago as well as outreach clinics in Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. The Department is interested in extending its footprint in the Chicagoland area and other outreach clinics might open in the future. Qualified candidates must have completed an approved Pediatric Gastroenterology fellowship program and be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Gastroenterology by the American Board of Pediatrics and be willing and able to travel to the outreach clinics as needed. Candidates will be expected to participate in both the inpatient and the outpatient Pediatric Gastroenterology services including direct patient care and supervision of medical students and residents. Candidates must possess a strong commitment to patient care, student and resident education, clinical medicine and research. Candidates will be eligible for a faculty appointment in Rush Medical College at the level commensurate with their experience and accomplishments. The new pediatric gastroenterologist will be joining two other experienced Pediatric Gastroenterologists in a team that includes nurses, nutritionists, and social workers.

Requirements

  • Completed an approved Pediatric Gastroenterology fellowship program.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Gastroenterology by the American Board of Pediatrics.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to outreach clinics as needed.
  • Strong commitment to patient care, education, and research.
