Visas Accepted N/A Specialty Pediatrics - Endocrinology Practice Details Sanford Research, Sanford Children’s Hospital and Sanford USD School of Medicine are seeking a full time Pediatric Endocrinologist to join a dynamic team running an active portfolio of clinical trials in type 1 diabetes. • Sanford Health has made a major commitment to improving type 1 diabetes care with an established clinical research program • Current efforts include general population screening for type 1 diabetes that is integrated into routine pediatric care in every Sanford clinic • Additional intervention trials span from pre-symptomatic to long-established type 1 diabetes • Join an experienced team of three physicians and one nurse practitioner in the section, working closely with an interdisciplinary team in-clinic social workers, dietitians, diabetes educators, behavioral health, and genetic counselors to support ongoing care of children with diabetes and other endocrine disorders • More than 70 sub-specialists and hospitalists share in multidisciplinary patient care & education of pediatric residents Community Description Located in the heart of the Midwest, Sioux Falls balances an excellent quality of life with a strong economy in a safe, clean environment in southeast South Dakota. With a competitive cost of living, no state income tax and amenities of a community twice its size, such as fine dining, shopping, arts, sports and nightlife, Sioux Falls is a welcoming and friendly place to call home Job Description Pediatric Endocrinology Core Privileges include the ability to perform history and physical examination, admit (if applicable to the setting), evaluate diagnose and provide treatment or consultative services to infants, children and adolescents and young adults presenting with illness and disorders of the endocrine systems, including by not limited to diabetes mellitus, growth failure, unusual size for age, early or late pubertal development, birth defects, defects of the genital region, and disorders of the thyroid, adrenal, and pituitary glands.
